The morphology and reproductive patterns of nine species of fucoid algae are documented from 15 study sites on the Isle of Man within the Irish Sea and compared to those of several other North Atlantic habitats. Mean frond length, weight, percentage of biomass allocated to reproduction, and biomass patterns were highly variable both spatially and temporally. Detailed voucher specimens were established to confirm temporal and spatial records as well as critical species identifications.
