The paper addresses the influence of diamond-containing mixture and detonation nanodiamonds on the physical-mechanical and physical-chemical properties of polymer composites based on foamed polyurethane, frost-resistant butadiene-nitrile rubbers, polycarbonates, rubbers resistant to explosive decompression, and gas plasma deposited polymer coatings. Adding diamond-containing mixture to polyurethane raises their compression strength, while in the case of butadiene-nitrile rubbers it improves their key performance characteristics (friction coefficient, elasticity, frost-resistance) that ensure a long service life. When added to explosive decompression resistant rubbers, diamond-containing mixture increases their tearing strength by about 60% and abrasion resistance by about 40%. In the case of polycarbonates, the nanodiamond additives provide them with a better rupture strength and bring about a significant increase in fracture energy.
