In this work, rod-like NiOF-1 is synthesized and converted into hollow NiOF-1-Fe with etching effect. After pyrolysis, FeNi 3 particles within in situ formed carbon nanotubes on hollow carbon nanorods are proposed as an efficient OER electrocatalyst.
