Theoretical model analyzes negative energy density's role in stabilizing Morris-Thorne wormhole throats, suggesting feasible parameters.
We present a theoretical toy model analyzing the local coupling and concentration of a negative energy density field (quintessence/dark energy) around a Morris-Thorne traversable wormhole throat. By evaluating the Null Energy Condition (NEC) and Quantum Null Energy Condition (QNEC) locally, we examine whether a bounded effective energy-momentum tensor can maintain throat stability without requiring unphysical phantom fluid conditions at asymptotic infinity. Furthermore, by explicitly integrating the effective Gaussian energy density profile within the throat neighborhood r ∈ [r₀, r₀ + σ], we derive a closed-form expression for the total exotic mass M_exotic, demonstrating that negative energy requirements remain strictly finite and can be parametrically minimized within the validity regime of the model.
