Pre-print proposes a novel mechanism of aging regulation, suggesting implications for lifespan extension.
This pre‑print manuscript entitled Natural‑philosophy‑based Theory of Life‑Immortality puts forward an original‑undiscovered mechanism of human ageing.Age progression is co‑regulated by melatonin, adenosine and intracellular ATP. Short‑term sleep reshapes melatonin secretion, controlling the in‑vivo accumulation speed of adenosine. Excessive adenosine induces mitochondrial oxidative stress damage, accelerates telomere erosion, and triggers progressive biological senescence of the human body.Complete experimental schemes for cell‑level research and mouse‑model animal verification have been fully designed in advance. We welcome scholars specialising in endocrinology, geroscience, sleep medicine and pharmacology for academic discussion and collaborative experimental testing. If validated, this theory will open‑up a brand‑new path for anti‑ageing intervention and human‑lifespan‑extension research.
