Shows accurate online monitoring of vehicle speed and load, suggesting improved safety measures in transportation.
Strict control of vehicle speed and load is crucial for driving safety. However, existing methods for monitoring vehicle speed and load heavily rely on power supply, limiting their application in remote areas. In this work, a low-cost rack -shaped triboelectric self-powered sensor was developed, which is capable of accurately monitoring vehicle speed and load due to its precise structure, overcoming the challenge of low accuracy in traditional triboelectric sensors when monitoring multiple parameters. It can generate an output voltage exceeding 96.3 V under a speed of 30 m/s and a pressure of 30 kPa. Based on the excellent output performance of the triboelectric sensor, a vehicle speed and load online monitoring system was developed and validated through outdoor experiments, demonstrating that the error in speed and load measurements is within 5%. This work provides a promising paradigm for the construction of smart transportation cities and intelligent traffic monitoring.
