A heterometallic sodium–europium-cluster-based metal–organic framework as a versatile and water-stable chemosensor for antibiotics and explosives

A stable luminescent MOF, constructed from a novel Eu 2 Na cluster and tricarboxylate, has been synthesized into a cubic framework and demonstrated to be the first known MOF for the selective detection of ornidazole antibiotics.
