Demonstrates improved speed synchronization in multi-PMSMs, suggesting enhanced coordination under disturbance.
This paper presents an electronic line‐shafting‐based fixed‐time speed coordination control (ELS‐FTSCC) method for multiple permanent magnet synchronous motors (multi‐PMSMs) to address speed desynchronization caused by external disturbance during train operation. First, a multi‐PMSM state equation with external disturbance is formulated. Next, a virtual controller is designed using ELS that enables the virtual motor's speed to accurately track the target speed. A fixed‐time sliding mode surface is employed to design a speed cooperative controller for the follower motor, ensuring stable output speeds for all motors. Then, an extended disturbance observer (EDO) is used to estimate the external disturbance. The observed disturbance values are fed back to the speed cooperative controller to compensate and eliminate their impact on the system. Finally, simulation comparisons reveal that the presented ELS‐FTSCC method achieves output speed tracking of the reference speed within a fixed time of 0.005 s, with a tracking error no greater than 0.021%. The results demonstrate that the presented method improves the synchronous speed control performance of Multi‐PMSMs in the presence of external disturbance.
