Review of a health promotion program for school employees in Dallas, Texas is presented in this article. Several thousand teachers and other employees participated in a 10 week intensive intervention on health behaviors. Evaluation activities have documented important changes in several school employee health practices, in particular, increased exercise, weight loss, and blood pressure reductions. Teachers' job stress management skills apparently improved and an increase in general well-being was found. The authors' experiences in implementing, administering, and evaluating health promotion for school employeers are discussed.
