Electrocardiography with right-sided precordial leads confirmed right ventricular myocardial infarction in a patient presenting with inferior STEMI and ST-segment elevation in lead V1.
Case Report (n=1)
Highlights the diagnostic importance of lead V1 in the electrocardiographic evaluation of inferior STEMI, likely indicating right ventricular involvement.
May support V1 scrutiny for RV involvement in inferior STEMI; leaves open prospective validation.
The Clinical Picture V 1 : The most important lead in inferior STEMI A 63-year-old woman with diabetes and hyper- tension presented with chest tightness that had begun 1 hour previously. Her blood pressure was 90/60 mm/Hg and her jugular venous pressure was elevated, but the physical examination was otherwise normal. Her electrocardiogram is shown in FIGURE 1.

Nagarajan et al. (2012) conducted a case report in Acute inferior and right ventricular myocardial infarction (n=1). Electrocardiography with right-sided precordial leads was evaluated. Electrocardiography with right-sided precordial leads confirmed right ventricular myocardial infarction in a patient presenting with inferior STEMI and ST-segment elevation in lead V1.
