This research paper investigates the impact of green organizational culture (GOC) on counterproductive work behaviour (CWB) among employees of five-star hotels, additionally it explores the mediating impact of psychological meaningfulness at work (PMW) and moderating role of reflective moral attentiveness (RMA). The paper is supported by social exchange theory (SET) and highlights that formulating a strong environment friendly culture in hotels can help in reducing deviant workplace behaviours by increasing sense of purpose and meaning towards work and certain key obligations towards ethics. We have used quantitative analysis in our research by using PLS-SEM software. The data for the research is conducted on time-lagged series from five-star hotels of Delhi-NCR, India. Our findings show a significant negative relationship between GOC and CWB, along PMW as the mediator between both. Further, RMA has a moderate interaction effect between PMW and CWB, indicating a strong negative corelation between the two. Furthermore, our research contributes to the hospitality literature by investigating the green culture and deviant behaviour of hotel employees. Additionally, this research paper also discusses various theoretical and practical implications, along with urgent requirement for the hotels to abide by sustainable practices and policies into their workplace. This will further help in reducing counterproductive work behaviours and promote ethical practice at the workplace by fostering green organizational culture.
