Working paper argues the need for orchestrated digital twins to enhance network operations and efficiency across multiple stakeholder functions.
A digital twin moves handover and interference failures from the live network - where every customer is a test probe - into simulation, where mistakes are free. The architecture is one orchestration twin coordinating many domain twins - each best-in-class at its own physics, composed into one rehearsal space. This working paper argues the case across six stakeholder functions (planning, operations, finance, regulatory, legal, cybersecurity), grounds it in 3GPP Rel-17-20 NTN standardization, direct-to-device commercialization, and TM Forum autonomous-network levels, and extends it to the network prerequisites of high-fidelity holographic societies: flawless mobility, self-healing operation, and spatially aware infrastructure. 101 referenced sources.
