Evaluates physicochemical properties of herbal lip gel in cosmetics, suggesting potential for safe lip care.
AbstractA lip plumping gel infused with fermented Shatavari extract is being developed and assessed for its effectiveness, with an emphasison safety, given the delicate nature of lip skin, which struggles to retain moisture. The preparation of gel was done using fermentedShatavari extract, aloe vera, cinnamon oil, Carbopol 940, and glycerine. The product was then evaluated on the basis of pH value, viscosity, spreadability, washability, and appearance. The preparation was found to have a uniform composition, smooth texture, and pH value of 5-6, making it a good candidate for use as lip gel. It has favorable physiochemical characteristics, and thus, it canbe used as a healthy lip cosmetic.
