Low grade appendiceal mucinous neoplasms (LAMN) were characterized by a villous or flat circumferential proliferation of mucinous epithelium with low grade atypia and lack of overtly malignant features and abundant mucin production. However, if left untreated and ruptured, LAMN can lead to intraperitoneal accumulation of gelatinous ascites and mucinous tumor implants, a condition known as pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP), which carries significant morbidity and mortality. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment of LAMN are crucial to reduce risk of tumor rupture and progression to PMP. This case series comprised of seven cases of LAMN, including two cases with PMP, within a 2‐year span of a single center in Southern Taiwan. The clinical presentations, imaging studies, diagnoses and managements were summarized and analyzed to delineate LAMN and PMP.
