Excepting war nephritis, the few studies on prognosis are mostly in children. The mortality during the acute stage of the disease is regarded as low in both groups; but both the immediate and the late prognosis are apparently more favorable in the earlier ages. However, the death rate during the acute stage in the cases of acute nephritis, chiefly adults, recently reported by Murphy, Grill and Moxon,1 was so high as to challenge the truth of these beliefs.The present study...References1.
