Group I and 19.25 SS in Group II.Number of visits for patients in each group were recorded till reaching full alignment. Results:The number of visits in Group I ranged between 6 to 8 with an average of 7±0.58 visits. However, the number of visits in Group II was between 7 and 9 with an average of 8±0.58 visits. There was a statistically significant difference regarding alignment duration between the two treatment groups.Limitations: It was not possible to blind the clinician and only mild and moderate cases were included in the study with no severe or extraction cases. Conclusions: There was statistically significant difference in alignment duration between 0.018-inch and 0.022-inch slot bracket systems. The mean difference between both groups is one less visit in group I (0.018") which could be not significant clinically.
