Compares stress prediction model performance using different biometric baselines in assembly tasks, suggesting optimal approaches for operators.
Within the domain of Industry 5.0, the “Healthy operator” concept aims at using biometric sensors to enhance the physical and mental wellbeing of the operators. However, a sizable portion of the tools and the methodologies involved are borrowed from fields such as neuroscience and medical science where experimental context and conditions are significantly different from the typical manufacturing plant. In the current work we explored if the method for recording baselines of biometric signals used in clinical studies should be directly transferred to the shop floor. We measured baselines in sitting and standing positions and compared these two methods by measuring the performance of Stress state prediction model during standing assembly tasks.
