Analyzes how Lorentz-CPT symmetry violation affects neutron star properties, suggesting significant implications for their behavior.
The present work explores the non-linear Walecka model (QHD-II) in the context of neutron stars when subjected to a background field from spontaneous Lorentz-CPT symmetry violation (LSV). We analyze the evolution of the equation of state (EoS) with the Carroll-Field-Jackiw (CFJ) term in the QHD-II Lagrangian. Numerical solutions reveal that the background field parameter [Formula: see text] impacts the macroscopic properties of neutron stars. As [Formula: see text] increases, starting from [Formula: see text], corresponding to [Formula: see text] GeV, the system exhibits analternating non-monotonic behavior, reflecting the highly nonlinear nature of the Lorentz-violating contribution. This behavior allows the identification of a characteristic scale associated with the onset of LSV effects. Additionally, different magnetic field intensities alter the mass-radius relationship, providing insights into the macroscopic properties of these compact objects.
