Emissions from various inventories for 5 South American (SA) countries are examined. Downscaled Global & city emissions present large discrepancies for the same domain. Global emission inventory to derive city emission for AQ modeling is not suggested. Increasing the understanding of strengths and weaknesses of emissions data for SA.
