The semi‐empirical LCAO—SCF—MO method described in previous papers is further applied to some conjugated compounds containing the carbonyl group. The theoretical results are discussed in the light of available experimental data, especially the electronic spectra and the ionization potentials. The overall agreement between calculated values and measurements is satisfactory.
