Hyla camposseabrai Bokermann, 1968, was described based on specimens obtained at Maracás, State of Bahia, Brazil. It was subsequently considered as a subspecies of Hyla x-signata Spix, 1824, and currently it has been considered a synonym of Scinax x-signatus (Spix, 1824). In this paper, the status of the species is revalidated and the new combination Scinax camposseabrai is established.
