The anterolateral ligament of the knee is an important stabilizer of the knee in relation to internal rotation of the lower leg. Ultrasonographic examination of the anterolateral ligament of the knee joint is a simple and affordable method for its study, it allows to evaluate the femoral and tibial portions, has prospects for improving and improving the understanding of its function. The indication for its implementation is suspicion or confirmed damage to the anterior cruciate ligament.
