IT IS not often that an opportunity presents itself for the histo- logical study of a case of von Hippel's disease; and it is even more unusual to combine this with microscopic examination of one of the tumours in the central nervous system, described by Lindau. The case here reported offers both opportunities, and may help to throw spme light on the pathogenesis of the v. Hippel-Lindau complex.
