Objective To investigate the effect of musculoskeletal ultrasound-guided debridement on patients with stealthy pressure injury. Methods The 51 stress-induced injury wounds that met the inclusion criteria were grouped according to the random number table, 25 in the control group and 26 in the experimental group. The control group received systemic intervention and local wound management (debridement). In the experimental group, in addition to the above treatment, musculoskeletal ultrasound was used to locate the stealth direction, depth and relationship with peripheral skeletal vessels during debridement, and the debridement was conducted under the guidance of musculoskeletal ultrasound. On days 3, 7, 14 and 21 after debridement, wound healing effect, wound cavity volume, wound bacterial count, procalcitonin level, white blood cell count, neutrophils number, debridement cycle and hospital stay were compared between the two groups. Results The debridement period and hospitalization time of the experimental group were shorter than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (t value was 1.54 and 1.89, P<0.05). The difference between the two groups was statistically significant at day 14 and day 21 (χ2 values were 9.35 and 11.34, respectively, P<0.05). The volume of wound cavity was compared between groups on day 14 and day 21, and the difference was statistically significant(t value was 1.32 and 0.89, P<0.05). The bacterial count of wound, serum calcitonin level, white blood cell count and neutrophils count of the two groups were compared on day 14 and 21, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusions Musculoskeletal ultrasound-guided debridement can shorten hospital stay and debridement period, reduce infection degree, accelerate wound healing and improve wound healing effect in patients with stress injury.
