INVOLVEMENT of the adrenal glands in patients with North American blastomycosis has usually been recognized only at autopsy in persons dying of disseminated disease. Apparently, such involvement rarely produces adrenal insufficiency since only 2 cases of North American blastomycosis associated with Addison's disease have been reported.1 , 2 In both patients symptoms of adrenal insufficiency developed some years after the onset of blastomycosis, one at eleven and a half years and the other at five years.
