Reflectarray design comprised of sub-wavelength coupled-resonant square loop elements

A novel reflectarray antenna using a new class of cell elements labelled ‘sub-wavelength coupled-resonant elements’ is presented to enhance phase variation that avoids the tight fabrication tolerances needed in the fabrication of conventional reflectarrays comprised of sub-wavelength coupled-resonant patch elements.
