The cross spectrum of density fluctuations in a radio frequency heated abnormal glow discharge plasma is determined using Langmuir probes as sensors. The form of the cross spectrum and its dependence on probe separation, gas pressure, and electron temperature are in agreement with a theory given by Weinstock for a neutral collision dominated electron gas. If the diffusion coefficient obtained from fitting the theory to experiment is interpreted as an ambipolar diffusion coefficient, it is found to be in satisfactory agreement with that calculated from measured electron and gas temperatures and gas pressure utilizing the known mobility of helium ions in helium.
