Jean R. Miller, R.N. Ph.D., is assistant professor, University of Rochester, N.Y. She is an active researcher, her current project being in health education and family assessments. Susan R. Messenger, R.N., M.S., is an instructor in community health nursing and clinician II at the University of Rochester School of Nursing.
