Atomic scattering factors for C, N, O, Cl, Cl/sup -, Ni/sup 2+/ Ni, Zn/ sup 2+/, Zn, Pd/sup 2+/, and Pd were approximated by leastsquares parameters and fifth-degree polynomial coefficients. A method for calculating the unitary atomic scattering factor is presented. (C.J.G.)
