Interventions aimed at management of school-related stress provide a viable means of delivery of school psychological services which have the potential for promoting the emotional and physical health of children and adults in school settings. Schools are likely to be sources of stress because they provide a context in which performance and relationship demands are made. Behavioral and cognitive-behavioral stress management interventions for students and teachers are reviewed and the implications for the practice of school psychology are discussed. Suggested directions for future research are presented.
