Digitization results in the change of core processes within manufacturing systems. While implementing new digital manufacturing technologies within these systems, interactions with already existing technologies occur. Neglecting these interactions lead to isolated solutions within the manufacturing system as well as negative effects e.g. missing data consistency. The paper presents an approach which enables companies to individually identify connections and occurring interactions between new and already existing digital technologies within the manufacturing system. Therefore, the developed concept identifies the interactions between the digital technologies and finally assigns the technologies to the manufacturing system considering their usability.
