The diacetylenic steroids (VI), (VII) and (X) have been prepared by the cupric acetate — pyridine method. The “bis‐norlutine” (VI) has been partially hydrogenated to the corresponding “diene” (VIII) and the “bis‐acetate” (X a ) has been converted to “bis‐ethisterone” (VII).
