The Woolley effective molecular partition function solved for a Rydberg potential is used to calculate the ideal dimensionless internal and free energies of molecular nitrogen in the temperature range 3000 °K by 1000 degK intervals to 25,000 °K allowing for 24 molecular electronic levels. The results are presented in tabular, graphical and polynomial form. The significant increase in these calculated ideal properties over those of other workers is demonstrated and discussed.
