The article is devoted to the study of the interaction problems of economic processes with artificial intelligence technologies and the development prospects of working out their solution mechanisms. In the current period, the relevance of the formation of global socio-economic development with the application of digital technological innovations and the components of the Industry 4.0 platform has been justified. The economic importance of the rapid development of the high technologies sector like artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, robotization, etc. was explained. It has been shown that the penetration of artificial intelligence and other digital innovative technologies into all spheres of society is very important. Interrelationships between artificial intelligence and economic development have been determined, and conceptual considerations regarding their development prospects have been given. The content and essence of artificial intelligence have been explained and some general features have been analyzed. Research information is provided on various subfields of it, such as machine and deep learning, neural networks, natural language processing, computer vision, robotics and automation, and expert systems. The characteristics of artificial intelligence models such as ChatGPT, Stable Diffusion, Whisper, and DALLE 2, which are new large-scale, intelligent-based software and products, were analyzed, and their prospective development directions were studied.
