We present an accurate numerical calculation for the energy levels and resonance widths of the quasibound states of a confined hydrogen atom in an isolated quantum dot subjected to an external electric field. Resonance positions and widths are reported for a wide range of dot sizes to demonstrate that Stark resonances in a confined hydrogen atom lead to interesting phenomena as a consequence of the quantum confinement of the atom, contrary to the Stark effect on free atoms.
