Polymeric brushes, composed of polysaccharide chains chemically bonded to substrates, play a crucial role in modifying surface properties for biomedical and technological applications. They are widely used in drug delivery, biosensors, and antifouling coatings. Advances in controlled radical polymerization have enabled precise synthesis of polymer brushes with One-Dimensional, Two-Dimensional, and Three-Dimensional architectures. These structural variations significantly influence interfacial properties and functional performance. Despite challenges in synthesizing complex architectures, polymeric brushes hold great potential for developing advanced functional materials. Their unique properties offer innovative solutions in material science, biomedicine, and other surface engineering applications. In the present review, we discussed in details about different types of polymeric brushes, their synthesis mechanism and different applications.
