Global interconnectedness has intensified pressure on organisations to adopt environmentally responsible processes, necessitating sustainable development that reconciles financial viability with ecological accountability. This study proposes the SCM-Supported Enterprise Development–Digital Economy framework and employs empirical evidence to test how digital transformation enhances supply chain resilience and sustainable enterprise growth. The framework addresses fragmented collaboration, strengthens trust through collaborative innovation, and enables synchronised decision-making via real-time data. Supply chain responsiveness is modelled as a mediating mechanism to capture imbalances in the adoption of advanced technologies. The analysis further demonstrates how sustainable supply chains improve SCM performance and mitigate compliance risk, while highlighting persistent challenges, including inefficient integration of sustainability metrics, limited innovation-supportive cultures, and uneven implementation of sustainable practices. Structural equation modelling is used to validate the reliability of the measurement and structural models.
