The present authors have undertaken experiments in a series of human volunteers with cultivated virus of the trachoma inclusion conjunctivitis (TRIC) group, and it is the purpose of this communication to discuss the clinical data of these experiments. The serology of the volunteers was examined by Dr. M. L. Tarizzo, Laboratoire de Recherches Virologiques, Centre Ophtalmologique, Tunis, and the results are to be reported in a sep- arate paper (Tarizzo and Mitsui, in press).
