Spectral and Thermal Studies on Some Novel Mononuclear Complexes of Manganese(II) and Chromium(III) with Nitrogen and Oxygen Donor Macrocyclic Ligands

Mononuclear complexes of manganese(II), [Mn(FaHh-DAP)X2] and chromium(III), [Cr(FaHh-DAP)X3], where X = Cl−, OAc− were prepared with the nitrogen and oxygen donor macrocyclic ligands derived from the condensation of 2,5-furandiaciddihydrazide (FaHh) with 2,6-diacetylpyridine (DAP). These complexes were characterised with the help of elemental analyses, conductivity measurements, magnetic moments, spectral and thermal studies.
