More than 160 constituents were identified in a commercial Boronia absolute. The main constituents are β‐ionone, ( Z )‐heptadec‐8‐ene, 8‐hydroxylinalyl esters, methyl ( Z,E )‐4‐(geranyloxy)cinnamates, methyl ( Z,E )‐4‐(5‐hydroxygeranyloxy)cinnamates, N‐[2‐(4‐prenyloxyphenyl)ethyl]tiglamide and 3‐hydroxymegastigm‐7‐en‐9‐one, which are even recognizable in the 400 MHz 1 H‐NMR spectrum of the dewaxed absolute.
