Each research worker in the field of malariology, when dissecting Anopheles mosquitoes, comes across many parasites which have been described in a great number of papers. Christophers (1952) has recently summarized the recorded parasites of mosquitoes. Insufficient justice has been done to former investigations on trematodes in adults and larvae of Anopheles species and on their life history in this paper by Christophers and in papers by Jones (1950, more particularly dealing with Anopheles larvae as intermediate hosts for larval trematodes) and by Walandouw (1934, describing mainly nematode parasites of Anopheles larvae). For this reason a short addition is given concerning trematodes in Anopheles, and a few new observations on gregarines and fungus in Anopheles mosquitoes are described under B and C.
