The solutions within the mean-spherical and binding mean-spherical approximations of the sticky-hard-sphere model for colloids and polyelectrolytes are discussed. It is shown that the excess thermodynamic functions - the internal energy E, and the entropy S - have the same simple forms for all cases, and are functions of a single screening parameter , which however depends on all the sticky interactions.
