The synthesis, microstructure, and thermal conductivity of a novel CePO4 nanofluid by chemical solution method (CSM) was reported. The thermal conductivity of nanofluids was measured by transient hot-wire (THW), temperature oscillation (TO), and steady-state (SS) methods. Platinum was used as a hot wire and the thermal conductivity was determined by measuring the rate at which the temperature of the platinum wire rises with time after a step change in voltage is applied. The variation of measured thermal conductivity with the liquid depth with wire immersed in liquid is found to be 1.3%. A significant increase in thermal conductivity is achieved and the fluid conductivity can be reduced by adding the nanofibers. Variation in the reactant molar concentration leads to a change in nanofluid thermal conductivity through changing the nanofluid microstructure and pH value.
