In six cats the trunks of the third or fourth lumbar to the third sacral nerves were cut between the dorsal root ganglion and the gray ramus. Studies were made of serial sections of the nerve trunks with their intact gray rami, sections of the peripheral nerves, including most of the motor and sensory nerves of the posterior limb, and serial sections of the blood vessels. The latter were cut into segments and the serial sections made of each segment. IN addition, similar studies of a large number of normal vessels were made.
