Aryltellurium trichlorides, ArTeCl 3 (Ar = C 6 H 5 , Ph; 4-Me-C 6 H 4 , p -Tol; 1-C 10 H 7 , 1-Nap; 2,4,6-Me 3 C 6 H 2 , Mes) react under mild conditions with acetylacetone/benzoylacetone to give carbonyl functionalized organotellurium( iv ) derivatives.
