Background The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of concentrated growth factors (CGF) on the stability and radiographic outcomes around short implant-assisting mandibular removable partial dentures. Patients and methods Ten patients were selected for this study. A split-mouth study design was used in this study, where group I represented the right side of the patients’ mandibular posterior region, which was restored with a short implant in place of the first molar, and group II represented the left side of the patients’ mandibular posterior region, which was restored with a short implant in place of the first molar and CGF. The patients received partial mandibular assisted overdentures with locator attachments on the implants. Stability of the implant and radiographic evaluations were carried out for every patient at regular recall visits at the time of insertion and at 6 and 12 months. At the end of the study, the data were collected, tabulated and statistically analyzed via IBM SPSS statistics software (repeated two-way ANOVA) Results There were no statistically significant differences (P > 0.05) in terms of implant stability or changes in the bone height between the two groups during the 1 year follow-up period. Conclusion CGF had no effect on implant stability or changes in implant bone height between the two groups in implant-assisted mandibular partial overdentures.
