The diffusive dynamics of a sine-Gordon soliton interacting with a phonon bath at low temperature is characterized by two different regimes termed anomalous and viscous , respectively, depending on the physical conditions which make the momentum exchange between soliton and phonons negligible or not. We discuss the two regimes and the crossover between them.
