Twenty-six patients 18 years of age or less were operated upon for posterior circulation aneurysms. One patient had two aneurysms. All but 1 were Botterell Grade 3 or better, Giant sacs occurred in 77% of the cases. Subarachnoid hemorrhage precipitated admission in 65%, whereas 35% of the patients presented with a neural compression syndrome. The operative mortality was 3.8% (1 of 26).
