A 75° swinging movement of the arm in the vertical plane was used to compare single channel and memory drum predictions regarding the psychological refractory period (PRP). While the changes in RT2 were consistent with the single channel theory, in no case was it possible to reverse the movement once it was started. However, in 67% to 73% of the cases a deceleration of the arm swing in response to S2 was observed, indicating start of the reversal. Results of the 1961 experiment of Henry and Harrison were confirmed.
