Two models of egg shell shape have been examined theoretically and experimentally. Correlation of measured and computed shapes were calculated and a two parameter ellipse and parabola model was shown to be a superior characterization of egg shell shape. Several figures illustrate the versatility of the egg shape model and the goodness of fit with several egg profiles.
